The Baron Digital TV Receiver is a new Set-Top-Box from Adtel. Makers of the Baron Antenna.

It is one of the smallest STBs out there in the market, measuring at 12.5cm at 7.5cm.
At front you can see buttons for Power, Menu, for Navigating Channels and a USB 2.0 A port for your USB Devices such as the WiFi Adapter.

Behind you will see RF input, USB 2.0 A Port, HDMI port and RCA connectors for TV and A 5V DC Port.

Testing the STB
The sensitivity of the tuner is great, even with some attenuation, all ISDB-T channels can be received.

The Baron Digital TV Receiver can decode High Definition and Standard Definition Programs. OneSeg channels are excluded from the scan.


One of the great features of this STB is the inclusion of “Virtual Channel” which sorts all DTT Channels correctly depending on the assignment of the broadcaster.

Emergency Warning Broadcast System feature is available in this receiver. You have options to enable or disable the buzzer and just receive the EWBS message.




Extra features
You can watch Videos or Movies on your USB Flash Disk using the STB’s Built-in Media Viewer.


The Baron Box has free 5 games that you can play. Box Man, Tetris, Hit Rat, Go Bang and Sudoku.






Streaming Videos over the Internet
A unique feature of the baron STB is the inclusion of YouTube and VIU. You need to use a compatible WiFi USB Dongle in order to use these features.



You can watch YouTube videos whether uploaded or LIVE.

VIU is an OTT streaming provider. You can watch some Korean/Japanese drama and/or Japanese anime titles.
